Maximianus, first reign, 286-305. Denarius (Bronze, 19 mm, 2.26 g, 7 h), Rome, 285-286. IMP MAXIMIANVS P F AVG Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Maximianus to right. Rev. IOVI CONSERVAT AVGG / C Jupiter standing front, head to left, holding thunderbolt in his right hand and long scepter in his left. RIC 517 var. (no officina letter). Very rare. Well struck and perfectly centered. Somewhat rough, otherwise, good very fine.
