An attractive and partially silvered medallion of Geta from Mylasa

CARIA. Mylasa. Geta, as Caesar, 198-209. Medallion (Bronze, 40 mm, 29.41 g, 7 h). ΠO CЄΠTIMIOC ΓЄTAC Bare-headed, draped and cuirassed bust of Geta to right, seen from behind. Rev. MYΛACЄΩN Facing cult statue of Zeus Labraundos, head to left and wearing kalathos, holding labrys in his right hand and spear in his left, within tetrastyle temple with round shield with two supporters in pediment. Akarca 90. BMC 38. SNG von Aulock 2630. An unusually well preserved example struck on a very broad and heavy flan. Minor metal problems on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.
This impressive medallion shows some traces of silvering on the obverse, which is a very rare phenomenon in Asia Minor.
