CAESAR - PARENS PATRIAE Laureate and veiled head of Julius Caesar to right; behind, apex; before, lituus. Rev. Cruciform C•COSSVTIVS / MARIDIANVS with A A A F • F in angles. Babelon (Julia) 43 and (Cossutia) 2. Crawford 480/19. RBW 1687. Sydenham 1069. Beautifully toned and very well centered for the type. Banker's mark on the obverse and with some roughness near the edge, otherwise, very fine.
