(sunken quarters stippled). SNG von Aulock -. Nicely centered on a broad flan. Traces of overstriking and with very light deposits, otherwise, good very fine.


This type was apparently overstruck on an earlier Sinope drachm with a larger eagle’s head, making it important for reconstructing the relative chronology of these stylistically diverse issues.
