There is no deity but Allah. Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. Ali is the friend of Allah’); around, ‘ḍuriba / bi Ṣaʿda / sana i/thnayn wa / sabʿīn wa / sitta miʾa’ (‘Struck in Saʿda in the year 672’ in Arabic). Rev. Citing his father, Imam ʿAbd Allah ibn Hamza (AH 583-614 / AD 1187-1217), within a complex hexagram, arranged in a scattered manner, ‘al-imām al-Manṣūr billāh amīr al-muʾminīn ʿAbd Allāh ibn Ḥamza ibn Sulaymān’ (‘Imam al-Mansur billah ʿAbd Allah son of Hamza son of Sulayman, Commander of the Believers’ in Arabic); in the margin, ‘al-Muntaṣir / billāh / Dāwū/d wa/lī / ʿahdihī’ (‘al-Muntasir billah Da’ud, his successor to the covenant (i.e., heir)’ in Arabic).
