KINGS OF MACEDON. Time of Antigonos II Gonatas, Demetrios II Aitolikos, and Antigonos III Doson, 246/5-229 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 31 mm, 17.10 g, 1 h), Amphipolis (?). Head of Poseidon to right, wearing wreath of seaweed. Rev. Apollo seated to left on prow, holding bow in his right hand and resting his left on the galley; on the planks, BAΣIΛEΩΣ / ANTIΓONOΥ in two lines; in exergue, monogram. HGC 3.1, 1051. Panagopoulou, TEA, Group 46, 244 (O37/R233). SNG Lewis 541 (same dies). Lightly toned and with a fine head of Poseidon. Struck from slightly worn dies and with minor marks and very light deposits, otherwise, good very fine.
