Octavian, 44-27 BC. Denarius (Silver, 20 mm, 3.77 g, 10 h), uncertain mint in Italy (Rome?), autumn 30-summer 29. Laureate bust of Octavian as Jupiter Terminus to right; behind, thunderbolt. Rev. IMP - CAESAR Octavian, togate, seated left on curule chair, holding Victory in his extended right hand. Babelon (Julia) 155. BMC 637. CBN 43. Cohen 116. CRI 427. RIC 270. Beautifully toned and with an excellent pedigree. Banker's mark on the obverse, otherwise, very fine.
