[δδ NN hERACLIЧS] ET hЄRA CON[...] Heraclius, on the left, and Heraclius Constantine, smaller and on the right, standing facing, each wearing crown with cross and holding globus cruciger in his right hand. This coin was struck over a follis of Phocas from Nicomedia. By overstriking coins of Phocas, Heraclius was not merely issuing new money; he was also publicly erasing the memory of the hated usurper.
