Vespasian, 69-79. Denarius (Subaeratus, 19 mm, 2.60 g, 6 h), a contemporary plated imitation of an issue from Rome. Irregular mint, after 78. IMP CAESAR VESP AVGVST Laureate head of Vespasian to right. Rev. IMP - XIX Modius filled with seven grain ears. Cf. BMC 216, Cohen 216 and RIC 980 (for prototype). Light marks and with some breaks in plating, otherwise, very fine.
