Marcus Aurelius, 161-180. Sestertius (Orichalcum, 32 mm, 27.77 g, 12 h), Rome, 161-162. IMP CAES M AVREL ANTONINVS AVG P M Laureate head of Marcus Aurelius to right. Rev. CONCORD AVGVSTOR TR P XVI / COS III Marcus Aurelius, togate on the left, and Lucius Verus, togate on the right, standing facing each other and clasping their right hands; in his left hand, Marcus Aurelius holds a scroll. BMC 1009. Cohen 54. RIC 826. A very attractive example with an excellent portrait and a fine brown patina. Very minor flan crack, otherwise, good very fine.
