An extremely rare and interesting drachm from Kyrene

KYRENAICA. Kyrene. Circa 500-480 BC. Drachm (Silver, 13 mm, 4.22 g, 6 h), Attic standard. Silphium fruit within circle of dots. Rev. Winged female figure standing facing, head to right and arms hanging at her sides; to left and right, six pellets; all within square dotted frame within incuse square. BMC pl. IV, 6-7. SNG Copenhagen 1166. Extremely rare. A well struck and unusually complete example of this interesting issue. Good very fine.
