Galerius, as Caesar, 293-305. Aureus (Gold, 20 mm, 5.37 g, 6 h), Nicomedia, 294. MAXIMIANV-S NOB CAES Laureate head of Galerius to right. Rev. IOVI CONSE-RVATORI / SMN Jupiter standing front, head to left, holding thunderbolt in his right hand and long scepter in his left. Calicó 4916. Depeyrot 2/5. RIC 6. Rare. A few minor marks on the obverse and with minor traces of mounting, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
