Judaica PHILISTIA. Central Mint. Athenian-styled, circa early 340s-332 BCE. Mʿh = Obol (Silver, 10 mm, 0.68 g, 6 h). Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Attic helmet decorated with three olive leaves and palmette. Rev. Owl standing right, head facing; to left, olive sprig; to right, Α☉Ε; to outer right, palm branch; all within incuse square. Gitler & Tal -, cf. XII.9O (branch between owl and legend). Hendin -. Jeselsohn -. Shoshana -. Sofaer -. Apparently unpublished and unique. Somewhat rough and the obverse struck off center, otherwise, very fine.
