Undated, but attributed to Year 3 = 134/5 CE. 𐤔𐤌𐤏𐤅𐤍 (‘Šimʿon’ in Paleo-Hebrew) Grape bunch on vine. Rev. 𐤋𐤇𐤓𐤅𐤕 𐤉𐤓𐤅𐤔𐤋𐤌 ('For the Freedom of Jerusalem' in Paleo-Hebrew) One-handled jug with fluted body to right; to right, palm frond. Bromberg II 529 (same dies). Hendin 6460. Meshorer, AJC, 68. Mildenberg 194 (O24/R125). Samel 2478. Shoshana I 20462 (same obverse die). Sofaer 120-122. Beautifully toned. Overstruck on a denarius of Trajan. Traces of overstriking, otherwise, extremely fine.

On the reverse, remnants of the legend [...] CAES NER TR[...] are still visible between 4 and 7 o’clock, showing that this zuz was struck over a denarius of Trajan. Above the grape cluster, traces of the undertype’s reverse legend can just be discerned as [...] M TR [...].
