Judaica JUDAEA, Bar Kokhba War. 132-136 CE. Middle Bronze (Bronze, 23 mm, 9.98 g, 5 h), irregular coinage. Uncertain mint, Year 2 = 133/4 CE. 𐤔𐤌𐤏 (‘Šimʿon’, abbreviated, in Paleo-Hebrew) Seven-branched palm tree with two bunches of dates. Rev. 𐤔𐤁 𐤋𐤇𐤓 𐤉𐤔𐤓𐤀𐤋 ('Year 2 of the Freedom of Israel' in partially blundered Paleo-Hebrew) Vine leaf on tendril. Bromberg II 584 (same dies). Hendin -, cf. 6436c. Meshorer, AJC, -, cf. 44a-b.
