Persian Great King (?) advancing to right, holding bow in his left hand and two arrows in his right; quiver with three arrows on his back. Rev. 𐡁𐡓𐡅𐡇𐡁𐡋 (BRWḤBL in Aramaic) Bearded Bes, nude except for animal skin on back, facing, in squatting stance. CSC 164. Jeselsohn 25. Meshorer & Qedar 16. Sofaer 94. Extremely rare. A magnificent, darkly toned and exceptionally well preserved and complete example. Extremely fine.
