Octavian, 44-27 BC. Denarius (Silver, 18 mm, 4.00 g, 11 h), uncertain Italian mint (Rome?), 29-27 BC. IMP Bearded head of Mars to right, wearing crested Corinthian helmet. Rev. CAESAR on rim of round shield, with eight-pointed star at center; lying on crossed spear and shield. BMC 644. Cohen 44. RIC 274. Nicely toned. Very fine.
