A beautiful Tetadrachm from Leontini

SICILY. Leontini. Circa 430-425 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 25 mm, 16.51 g, 7 h). Laureate head of Apollo to left. Rev. 𐤋E-O-N-TI-N-ON Head of a lion with open jaws to left; above, to left and below, three barley grains; to right, laurel leaf. Boehringer, Münzgeschichte, 55 (same dies). HGC 2, 671. Rizzo pl. XXIV, 4 (same dies). SNG ANS 257 (same dies). A sharply struck and very attractive example. Minor deposits and with the usual small die breaks on the obverse and traces of overstriking on the reverse, otherwise, extremely fine.
