LUCANIA. Herakleia. Circa 340-330 BC. Diobol (Silver, 12 mm, 0.96 g, 9 h). Head of Athena to right, wearing Attic helmet decorated with Skylla. Rev. Herakles standing front, holding club in his right hand and bow and arrow in his left, lion's skin draped over left arm; to left, Nike flying right and crowning Herakles; to left, EY; to right, Σ. SNG ANS 70. Van Keuren 78. Beautifully toned and of excellent style. Good very fine.
