An attractive early tetradrachm from Athens

ATTICA. Athens. Circa 485/480 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 19 mm, 16.90 g, 8 h). Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Attic helmet and circular earring. Rev. [ΑΘ]Ε Owl with closed wings standing right, head facing; to left, olive sprig; all within incuse square. Asyut Pl. XVIII passim. Seltman Group G. Svoronos pl. 5 passim. A nicely toned example with a charming and well-centered obverse. The reverse struck slightly off center, otherwise, very fine.
