Within a square, ‘lā ilāha illā Allāh / Muḥammad / rasūl Allāh’ (‘There is no deity but Allah. Muhammad is the messenger of Allah’ in Arabic); the names of the four Rashidun Caliphs around. Rev. Within a central circle, ‘ḍarb / al-sulṭān Abū Saʿīd / Bahādur Khān khalada mulkuhū / Khilat (‘Sultan Abu Saʿid Bahadur Khan. May his kingdom be perpetuated. Struck in Akhlat’ in Arabic); in the margin, ‘fī sana arbaʿ wa ʿishrīn wa sabʿa miʾa’ (‘In the year 724’ in Arabic). Album 2210. Diler Ab-506. A well struck and lightly toned example. Struck slightly off center and with a scrape on the obverse, otherwise, very fine.
