KINGS OF PONTOS. Mithradates VI Eupator, circa 120-63 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 33 mm, 16.74 g, 12 h), Pergamon, BE 213, 1st month = October 85. Diademed head of Mithradates VI to right. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ - MIΘPAΔATOY / EYΠATOPOΣ Stag grazing left; to left, star-in-crescent (Pontic royal badge) above monogram; to right, ΓIΣ above monogram; in exergue, A; all within Dionysiac wreath of ivy and fruit. Very light marks and with small die breaks on the obverse, otherwise, good extremely fine.
