ISLANDS OFF ATTICA, Aegina. Circa 480-457 BC. Stater (Silver, 21 mm, 12.37 g). Sea turtle seen from above, head in profile, with thick collar and row of dots down its back. Rev. Square incuse with large skew pattern. HGC 6, 435. Meadows, Aegina, Group IIIa. Milbank Period III, pl. I, 15. A beautifully centered piece with a particularly lovely turtle. Minor deposits on the reverse, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
