Hadrian, 117-138. Aureus (Gold, 18 mm, 7.26 g, 6 h), Rome, circa 120-121. IMP CAESAR TRAIAN HADRIANVS AVG Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Hadrian to right. Rev. P M TR P COS III Virtus, helmeted, standing facing, right foot on helmet, holding double-headed spear in her right hand and parazonium in her left. BMC 110. Calicó 1339. Cohen 1146. RIC 326. Rare and nicely toned. Minor marks on the edge, otherwise, very fine.
