Seal (Lead, 35 mm, 34.54 g, 12 h), circa 1059-1065. +ЄΜΜΑ - ΝΟΥΗΛ / IC - XC Bust of Christ Emmanuel facing, with cross-nimbus containing five pellets in each arm, wearing tunic and himation, his right hand in folds and holding book of Gospels in his left. Rev. +KωN RA[CIΛЄYC P]ωMAION O ΔOYK Constantine X standing facing, wearing crown with cross and pendilia and loros, holding labarum in his right hand and with part of the loros draped over his left arm. DOC 77.1-8. Zacos & Veglery 87. A very well struck imperial seal in exceptional condition. Very light doubling on the obverse, otherwise, extremely fine.
