Q. Cassius Longinus, 55 BC. Denarius (Silver, 19 mm, 3.73 g, 9 h), Rome. Head of Genius Populi Romani to right, with scepter over shoulder. Rev. Q•CASSIVS Eagle standing right on thunderbolt; on either side, lituus and jug. Babelon (Cassia) 7. Crawford 428/3. RBW 1535. Sydenham 916. A superb, lustrous piece. The reverse struck very slightly off center, otherwise, virtually as struck.
