CILICIA. Aegeae. Britannicus, 41-55. Diassarion (Bronze, 23 mm, 9.25 g, 12 h), CY 100 = 53/4 AD. [BPET]ANNI[KO]Σ Draped bust of Britannicus to right. Rev. ET P / AIΓE/AIΩN / ΔIO within laurel wreath. Haymann 16b (2 specimens, same dies). RPC 4045 (1 specimen, same dies). Extremely rare, apparently the fourth known example. A very interesting issue with a particularly charming and attractive portrait of Britannicus. Very fine.
