ISLANDS OFF ATTICA, Aegina. Circa 510-490 BC. Stater (Silver, 23 mm, 11.09 g). Sea turtle seen from above, with a line of pellets down the back of its shell. Rev. Incuse square of 'Union Jack' pattern with five incuse and three raised segments. Asyut Group IIIb, 466-77. De Nanteuil 930 (this coin). HGC 6, 430. Meadows Group IIb. SNG Copenhagen 502-3. Well centered, nicely toned and with an impressive pedigree. Somewhat granular and with minor traces of corrosion, otherwise, very fine.
