CONSTAN-TINVS AVG / SMH Victory advancing left, holding wreath in her right hand and palm frond in her left. RIC 145. RSC 97d. Very rare. Nicely toned. Minor flan crack and with a few light scratches, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.




This very rare piece was struck during Constantine's return journey from Rome. The vicennalian siliquae from Heraclea are unusual in that they were apparently only struck for Constantine I, but not for his sons. Nine pieces are known, two of which are in the Ramskold collection.
