INDIA, Post-Mauryan (Panchala). Panchalas of Adhichhatra. Bhadragosha, circa 1-70. AE (Bronze, 28 mm, 15.61 g, 8 h). Goddess Lakshmi standing facing on lotus, raising her right hand and placing her left on her hip; to her left, Srivatsa. Rev. BHADRAGHOSASA (in Brahmi) with three Panchala dynastic symbols above. BMC pl. 27, 11. Pieper -. Extremely rare and by far the finest known example, struck on a very large flan and with exceptional details. Good very fine.
