SELEUKID KINGS OF SYRIA. Antiochos VIII Epiphanes (Grypos), 121/0-97/6 BC. AE (Bronze, 14 mm, 2.47 g, 1 h), uncertain mint. Radiate and diademed head of Antiochos VIII to right. Rev. [ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ / ΑΝ]ΤΙΟ[ΧΟΥ Ε]ΠΙΦΑΝΟΥΣ Cicada; to outer left, monogram (?). HGC 9, 1225. SC 2343. Extremely rare, the third example known. Slightly rough, otherwise, good fine.
