An attractive Mardorf stater

CENTRAL EUROPE. Uncertain tribe. 1st century BC. Stater (Gold, 21 mm, 7.24 g, 12 h), 'Regenbogenschüsselchen, Mardorf' type. Triskeles within a torc-shaped wreath with a pellet-in-annulet at each end. Rev. Eight annulets, five with pellets within them, three with an annulet; around, zigzag ornament; all within cup-shaped incuse. Flesche 402 var. Kellner, Manching, type IX A. LT 9441. Minor areas of weakness and with some edge splits, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
