An exceptional drachm from Larissa

THESSALY. Larissa. 400 BC. Drachm (Silver, 20 mm, 6.10 g, 10 h). Head of the nymph Larissa facing slightly to right, wearing ampyx and necklace in form of an open V with central pellet. Rev. ΛΑΡΙ Horse grazing right. BCD Thessaly II, 248. Lorber 1992, 64. An exceptional example, beautifully toned and struck from fine style dies. Graffito on the reverse, otherwise, good extremely fine.
