MACEDON. Philippoi. Circa 356-345 BC. Hemidrachm (Silver, 14 mm, 1.58 g, 12 h). Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. ΦΙΛΙΠΠΩΝ Filleted tripod with three ring handles; above, laurel branch; to right, dolphin. Bellinger, Philippi, 10. HGC 3.1, 631. SNG ANS 653. Rare. Lightly toned and exceptionally well preserved for the issue. Slightly granular and with minor doubling, otherwise, extremely fine.
