SICILY. Syracuse. Agathokles, 317-289 BC. AE (Bronze, 17 mm, 3.76 g, 10 h), circa 317-310. ΣYPAKOΣIΩN Head of Arethousa to left, wearing pendant earring and pearl necklace. Rev. Bull butting left; above, B. CNS II, Group V, 102 var. (differing letter on reverse). HGC 2, 1490. Beautifully struck and of fine style. Somewhat smoothed and with very minor doubling on the reverse, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
