Aemilian, 253. Sestertius (Orichalcum, 32 mm, 15.90 g, 5 h), Rome. IMP CAES AEMILIANVS P F AVG Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Aemilian to right, seen from behind. Rev. P M [T]R P I P P / S - C Aemilian standing front in military attire, head to left, sacrificing out of patera over lighted altar with his right hand and holding transverse spear in his left; behind to left, signum. Cohen 36. Hunter -. RIC 47a. Very rare. Struck on a broad flan and with a fine portrait. Light deposits and with some minor weakness and doubling on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.
