Solidus (Gold, 20 mm, 4.28 g, 6 h), Constantinopolis. d N FILЄPICЧS MЧLTЧS AN Crowned bust of Philippicus facing, wearing loros and holding globus cruciger in his right hand and eagle-tipped scepter in his left. Rev. VICTORIA AVGЧ ΘΓ / CONOB Cross potent on base and three steps. DOC 3b. MIB 3. SB 1449. An exceptional example with a spectacular portrait. Slightly clipped and with a minor graffito on the reverse, otherwise, good extremely fine.
