Vespasian, 69-79. Denarius (Silver, 18 mm, 3.48 g, 7 h), Antiochia, 70. IMP CAESAR VESPASIANVS AVG Laureate head of Vespasian to right. Rev. VIRTVS AVGVSTI Virtus standing front, head to right, placing her left foot on prow, holding spear in her right hand and parazonium in her left; to lower left, shield set on the ground. BMC 501. Cohen 640. RIC 1542. RPC II 1916.7 (this coin). Extremely rare, one of only seven known examples and the only one in private hands. Some marks, otherwise, good very fine.
