PERSIA, Achaemenid Empire. Time of Darios I to Xerxes II, circa 485-420 BC. Daric (Gold, 16 mm, 8.50 g), Sardes. Persian king or hero in kneeling/running stance to right, holding spear and bow. Rev. Oblong irregular incuse. BMC 86. Carradice Type IIIb, Group A/B (pl. XIII, 27). Well struck and well centered. About extremely fine.
