THESSALY. Larissa. Circa 356-342 BC. Stater (Silver, 23 mm, 12.22 g, 12 h). Head of the nymph Larissa facing slightly to left, wearing ampyx, pendant earring and necklace. Rev. ΛΑΡΙ-Σ/ΑΙΩΝ Bridled horse walking to right; to right, M. BCD Thessaly I 1160 (same obverse die). BCD Thessaly II 310 (same dies) Lorber, Facing, pl. 5, 66 (same dies). Lightly toned and of particularly fine style. Struck from the usual slightly worn obverse die, otherwise, about extremely fine.
