SASANIAN KINGS. Khosrau I, 531-579. Drachm (Silver, 29 mm, 4.12 g, 4 h), WYHC (the Treasury mint), RY 25 = AD 554. Draped bust of Khosrau I to right, wearing mural crown with fronted crescent, korymbos set on crescent; to left and right of the crown, a five-pointed star; behind head, AFZUT ('may increase' in Pahlawi); before head, HWSRWD ('Khosrau' in Pahlawi). Rev. Fire altar flanked by two attendants; in upper left field, six-pointed star; in upper right field, crescent; to left, date; to right, WYHC (name of the mint in Pahlawi). SSCT 900. Light marks, otherwise, extremely fine.
