CIMMERIAN BOSPOROS. Phanagoreia. Circa 390 BC. Triobol (Silver, 15 mm, 3.32 g, 10 h). Head of a bearded Kabeiros to left, wearing laureate conical cap. Rev. ΦΑΝΑ Bull butting left; in exergue, barley grain; all within shallow circular incuse. Frolova Type IV. HGC 7, -. MacDonald -. SNG BM Black Sea -. SNG Stancomb -. Extremely rare. A wonderful piece with a magnificent head of a Kabeiros on the obverse. Slightly rough and with minor deposits, otherwise, good very fine.
