Philip I, 244-249. Aureus (Gold, 21 mm, 4.62 g, 12 h), Rome, 247-249. IMP PHILIPPVS AVG Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Philip I to right, seen from behind. Rev. FORTVNA REDVX Fortuna seated left, holding rudder with her right hand and cornucopiae with her left; below throne, wheel. Calicó 3248 (same dies). Cohen 66. RIC 63a. Extremely rare. A well struck and atractive example, much better than the Calicó plate coin. Minor marks, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
