KINGS OF MACEDON. Philip II, 359-336 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 26 mm, 14.48 g, 1 h), Amphipolis, circa 340/36-328. Laureate head of Zeus to right. Rev. ΦΙΛΙΠ-ΠΟΥ Young jockey, holding palm frond in his right hand and reins in his left, riding horse to right; blow raised foreleg, janiform head. Le Rider 263-325 (unlisted dies). SNG ANS 510-520. Beautifully toned and of fine style. Die break on the obverse, otherwise, good very fine.
