Pescennius Niger, 193-194. Denarius (Silver, 17 mm, 2.75 g, 12 h), Caesaraea in Cappadocia. IMP CAES C PESC NIGER IVS AVG COS II Laureate head of Pescennius Niger to right. Rev. BONI EVENTVS Bonus Eventus standing front, head to left, holding plate of fruit in her right hand and two grain ears in her left. BMC p. 72, *. Cohen 10. RIC 5c. A very attractive example with a fine portrait and with a lovely reverse. Minor deposits and slightly rough, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
