Domitian, 81-96. Aureus (Gold, 20 mm, 7.71 g, 6 h), Rome, 92-94. DOMITIANVS AVGVSTVS Bare head of Domitian to right. Rev. GERMANICVS COS XVI Domitian standing left in slow triumphal quadriga, holding laurel branch in his right hand and scepter in his left; on side of chariot, Victory standing left, crowning trophy. BMC 213. Calicó 853. Cohen 161 var. (laureate) RIC 749. Rare. A beautiful example of this important issue with a very attractive portrait. Minor mark on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.
