A very rare tetradrachm from the Second Meris

MACEDON (ROMAN PROTECTORATE), Republican period. Second Meris. Circa 167-149 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 31 mm, 16.78 g, 10 h), Thessalonike. Diademed and draped bust of Artemis to right, bow and quiver over her shoulder; all at the center of a Macedonian shield ornamented with stars within crescents. Rev. MAKEΔONΩN / ΔΕΥΤΕΡΑΣ Club to right; above and below, monogram;; around, oak wreath with ties to left; to left of the ties, thunderbolt. AMNG III/1, -, cf. 186 (differing monogram in upper field). BMC 9 var. (same). Gitbud & Naumann 4 (2013), 61 (same dies). HGC 3.1, 1104. Very rare. Struck from somewhat worn dies, otherwise, nearly very fine.
