A beautiful didrachm from Velia of wonderful late Classical style

LUCANIA. Velia. Circa 340-334 BC. Didrachm or Nomos (Silver, 22 mm, 7.44 g, 4 h). Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Attic helmet adorned with a griffin; behind neckguard, Θ; to left and right, dolphin swimming downward. Rev. ΥEΛHTΩN Lion walking right; above, Φ; below, P. HN Italy 1284. Williams 268 (O154/R209). A beautiful coin of wonderful late Classical style. The obverse struck slightly off center and with the usual die break, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
