Within square, 'Sahib al-Nasr / Al-As'ad al-Wasm / bi-furdat al-Jihad / al-Sultan Muhammad ibn / al-Sultan Murad'; in outer margin, 'am-Thalith - awam - alf'; all in Arabic. Rev. Within square, 'Malik al-Barrayn / wal-Bahrayn wa sh-Sham wa l-'Iraqayn khalad / Allah mulkahu'; in outer margin, 'am-Thalith - awam - alf'; all in Arabic. Bates, Museum Notes 26, s. 211, Nr. 7. Damali 13-TL-A1. A very attractive example with a fleur-de-lis between the words 'Allah' and 'mulkahu'. Minor areas of weakness around the edges, otherwise, extremely fine.
