MACEDON. Akanthos. Circa 470-430 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 27 mm, 17.24 g, 4 h). Lion right, attacking a bull collapsing to left; in exergue, tunny swimming to left. Rev. AKA-N-ΘIO-N Raised quadripartite square surrounded by inscription; all within shallow incuse square. Desneux - (-/R87). A bright and attractive example. Nearly extremely fine.
